Aibel construction business in Thailand was opened in 1999 to give Aibel in-house capability to deliver high quality, competitively priced offshore modules.
In Thailand, Aibel has specialized in the construction of Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) modules and fully integrated Process Drilling Quarter platforms (PDQs) for customers and projects world-wide. In addition, Aibel Thailand may supply engineering and integration services.
Aibel Thailand also cooperates with Aibel Singapore and Aibel Norway to provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects world-wide.
With innovative construction solutions, Aibel Thailand have delivered an extensive number of successful projects over the past 12 years with projects up to 10 000 tons in size with the biggest single module of 6000 tons.
Aibel achieves its success with high standards of Safety, Quality and on time deliveries.
Aibel Thailand is located in the Laem Chabang harbour, just north of the tourist destination Pattaya. Laem Chabang was selected as it is the largest and deepest harbor in Thailand with excellent access to deepwater for module load out.
About 150 people work in the harbor area, and Aibel’s facility totals 64,000 square meters. 95 percent of Aibel Thailand’s 150 employees are Thai; 60 percent are engineers, and the average age of the office is 45 years.
