Karianne Faanes (25)
Karianne Faanes is a Cost Manager and Project Economist at Aibel's Sandsli offices in Bergen.
She works on the framework agreement for maintenance of Oseberg, and on finance and costs in connection with the maintenance project on Oseberg Sør, Øst and C. Her job includes budget follow-up, invoicing and supporting Project Management.
Additionally, she works on the start-up of Aibel's first fast-track project, Visund Sør. These jobs involve many new challenges for Faanes, who previously worked on framework agreements for two years.
Faanes started at Aibel in October 2008, and has since then worked as a Cost Manager on the Oseberg framework agreement. In 2011 she starts in a new position in Project Management. Faanes was offered the position following an Annual Review in which the topic of conversation was her professional development and goals. According to Faanes, being offered a new position following an Annual Review is one of the many benefits of working for a large company.
Karianne has a Bachelor degree in economics from the Norwegian School of Management in Bergen. During her studies she specialised in finance.
Karianne lives with her common-law spouse in the centre of Bergen. She is originally from Kongsberg in eastern Norway, but enjoys living on the Norwegian west coast.
Faanes enjoys her job; she boasts of the social cohesion among colleagues and their many social events. These mean that it is easy to get to know colleagues, both in the workplace and outside of the meeting rooms.
