A milestone
The owner of the building, Garpaskjær eiendom, attended the signing for the first building phase. Representing Aibel were, among others, location manager Bjørn Tollefsen and project manager Kristian Gudmundsen.
“We took over the building formally on 1 January and today’s signing was a milestone for us,” Gudmundsen says.

Good quality
The new building is situated on the quayside at Risøy, with views over Karmsundet and toward the town. Veidekke is the contractor.
“The contractor has delivered a good quality building according to plan and we are very satisfied with the result,” the project manager says.
“Moving in will start on Friday 21 January and on 23 January, there will be a small celebration to mark the occasion. At the moment we are busy with furnishing, IT and communication.”

Comfortable environment
The new building is mainly a project building and the first building phase will house 288 employees. The next building phase, which will be ready in September, will provide space for a further 340.
“The new building has environmental certification B. Ventilation and lighting require little energy. We have invested in good quality furnishings and there are social areas, coffee bars and a nice cafeteria. I think our employees will like it,” Gudmundsen concludes.
