Projects

Aibel is currently present on 30 of the 70 platforms on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and on four of the six onshore facilities in Norway. Our principal clients are Statoil and ConocoPhillips. Here is a summary of some of our projects.

Dolwin 2 platform

The first wind platform that Aibel is building has been named Dolwin 2. The platform is a collaboration project between Aibel and ABB.
Statoil M&M

Aibel currently has around half of Statoil’s maintenance and modification work on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Gudrun

Aibel has been awarded the contract to construct the deck for the new Gudrun platform. This contract with Statoil is worth 2.7 billion kroner.
Greater Ekofisk Modifications

Since 2002, Aibel has performed maintenance and modification work at Ekofisk for ConocoPhilips. Around 900 of our employees are engaged in this project at any time.
Major modifications

Aibel intends to become the biggest player in connection with major modification projects at onshore installations and on the shelf. Our projects at the moment have a total contract value in excess of NOK six billion.
