The contract was awarded in July 2010 and it encompasses engineering work, procurement and the actual construction work.

In addition, it includes an option for connection on the Gudrun field, as well as the resulting engineering services. The contract also contains an option for future studies for similar platform decks.

The major part of the engineering work will be performed at our office in Oslo. Construction of the deck starts in May 2011 at our facilities in Thailand and Haugesund.

Commissioning will take place in Haugesund, and the platform deck will be ready to leave the yard in July 2013.

This is an exciting project which shows Aibel’s ability for interaction between our locations. Haugesund, Oslo, Singapore and Thailand are all working together on the Gudrun deck.
