Human rights and labour standards
Aibel wants to contribute to sustainable development in the countries we operate and to be a good corporate citizen. Therefore we comply with international laws, declarations and principles and in addition we have established guidelines and policies to affirm our commitment to respect human rights, including the rights of children, in every aspect of our business.
Health, Safety, Security and Environment
Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) is about promoting security, job satisfaction and health and safety at work. It also concerns protecting the environment and reducing negative environmental effects. Therefore, Aibel has a zero incident philosophy, as well as we support initiatives for greater environmental responsibility and we encourage the development of environmentally friendly technologies.
Anti-corruption and ethics
Aibel works against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery, and we have high expectations to our employees, our partners and our suppliers with regard to ethics. Therefore, Aibel's Code of Conduct is followed by a comprehensive program including web-based and in-classroom training to make sure that everyone is familiar with our standards and responsibilities.

Whistleblowing provides an opportunity to report suspicions of misconduct; anything that is not in line with our values and policies. Our whistleblowing service is an early warning system to reduce risks.
UN Global Compact
In 2017, Aibel became a signatory to UN Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative with more than 10,000 participating companies from 166 countries.
The UN Global Compact is based on universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and our commitment means that we do our best to run our business in line with these principles.
By being a signatory to the UN Global Compact, Aibel gets to be a part of creating the world that we want to do business in.
Reporting
Aibel systematically reports on corporate responsibility in line with the international recognised Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard. Our first CR report was published in 2018 as a part of the company’s annual report for 2017.

Aibel recognizes its social responsibility to contribute as a taxpayer in the countries where the company conducts its business.
We are committed to comply with the tax laws and regulations in all countries where we operate, including ensuring that all tax returns and payments are timely and accurate.
