    Aibel to build new Sverdrup plant

    Equinor has awarded Aibel the contract to build phase 2 of the onshore power plant at Haugsneset east of Kårstø. The phase 2 development will contribute to secure the power supply from land to the further development of Johan Sverdrup, and also contribute to establishing the area solution for power from shore to the remaining fields on the Utsira formation (Edvard Grieg, Ivar Aasen and Gina Krog).

    Aibel has been awarded the contract for hook-up of the process platform (P1) and bridge UB002 from the process platform to the living quarter (LQ) at the Johan Sverdrup field.

    A proud moment

    On Thursday afternoon, the Johan Sverdrup Drilling Platform left the yard in Haugesund. Aibel’s largest project so far is completed.

    Big farewell to giant platform

    On Thursday the Johan Sverdrup drilling platform will leave Aibel’s yard in Haugesund to be installed and linked up in the field. This marks the disappearance of the distinct landmark that has characterized the city since September last year.

    First Dvalin module finished in record time

    The Dvalin project achieved an important milestone on Monday, 23 April, when the 577-tonne H25 module was transported out of the North Sea Hall at Aibel in Haugesund. The module is now leaving the yard on its journey to the Heidrun platform.
