Celebrated Troll’s latest addition

The compressor module M11 for the Troll A platform will soon be set to leave Aibel’s yard in Laem Chabang.This week, Aibel Thailand threw a celebration to mark this major milestone.

The celebration day started with a worships ceremony, followed by a monk blessing ceremony at Aibel’s yard in Laem Chabang, Thailand. Later on, speeches were made by Aibel’s and Statoil’s senior management and the Norwegian ambassador to Thailand.

During the day, the guests watched a video describing the construction process of the module. The guests were also given a guided tour on the module, which is scheduled for integration on the Troll A platform this spring.

It was with great pride managing director Jim Ryan and his employees presented the module.

"The Troll M11 module is by far the most complex module delivered by Aibel Thailand. It puts the company in a new league when it comes to delivering large topsides to the Norwegian continental shelf," Ryan says.
