Gahr Støre visits Aibel

Today Jonas Gahr Støre, leader of the Norwegian Labour Party, visited Aibel's headquarters at Forus. The reason for the visit was that Støre wanted an update on the company's and industry's situation.

The demanding situation the industry is facing, with a very low price of oil and great uncertainty in the market, were the starting point of the meeting.

CEO Jan Skogseth provided information on the company's business areas and emphasized the industry's opportunities and long term viability. Aibel's two contracts related to the Sverdrup development were also emphasized, in addition to the number of weeks allowed for temporary lay-offs.

Jonas Gahr Støre commented that the meeting was very informative.
