Aibel Awarded M&M Frame Agreement with Teekay Petrojarl Production

Stavanger, Norway, 15 December 2009

Aibel has signed a frame agreement with Teekay Petrojarl Production for future modification projects for their five Floating Production Storage & Offloading vessels (FPSO's) in Norway, UK and Brazil.

The FPSO's covered by the agreement are currently located at the following fields:

  • Glitne Field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf - Petrojarl I
  • Varg Field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf - Petrojarl Varg
  • Banff Field on the UK Continental Shelf - Petrojarl Banff
  • Foinaven Field on the UK Continental Shelf (Atlantic Ocean, west of Shetland) - Petrojarl Foinaven
  • Siri Field on the Campos Basin in Brazil - Petrojarl Cidade De Rio Das Ostras

The detailed scope of the agreement is not yet defined; however, the frame agreement opens up for activities ranging from engineering pre-studies to complete EPCI projects.

The agreement will initially give opportunities for Aibel's operations in Haugesund, Stjørdal and Petersfield (UK), but may also give openings for work at other Aibel locations and for other companies within the Teekay Group.

The agreement is valid for three years, with optional extensions for 1+1 year.

-We consider this being of strategic importance to us and we look forward to a close and good cooperation with Teekay in the years to come, says Aibel's President and CEO, Jan Skogseth
