Changes in the Aibel Board

From 1 January 2016, Tom Røtjer (62) will be a board member of Aibel.

"Røtjer has long and very relevant experience from his career at Norsk Hydro, including responsibility for large development projects. For this reason, Røtjer will bring important expertise and usefully complement the Board," says Helge Midttun, Chair of the Aibel Board.  

This autumn, Midttun took over as chair of the board of Aibel, after a temporary period in the role.

Røtjer’s career
Tom Røtjer is currently Head of Projects at Norsk Hydro ASA. He started in the company in 1980 and has since held a number of leading positions, including Project Director of Ormen Lange and the Langeled project in the Norwegian Sea. From 2007 to 2012 he was a member of the group management team.

Røtjer has been a board member of Det norske oljeselskap and currently holds directorships in Green Energy Geothermal Ltd. (UK) and Qatalum Ltd. (Qatar).

Røtjer graduated in 1977 with a degree in civil engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH)
