Pedersen resigns from Aibel’s board

Kjell Pedersen leaves the board of directors in Aibel after two years. Pedersen has accepted to join the board of Det norske oljeselskap and thus resigns from his position as chairman of the board in Aibel.

On behalf of the owners, Morten Borge from Ferd wishes to thank Pedersen for his effort and important contributions in this period.

Pedersen himself says that it has been rewarding to be part of a company that really has taken action against the challenges on Norwegian shelf in recent years, and he wishes Aibel all the best for the future.

The resignation has immediate effect, and deputy chairman Helge Midttun takes over as acting chairman until a new, permanent chairman for Aibel has been appointed. 


Aibel is a leading service company within the oil and gas industry and is established in renewable energy.

The company`s around 5,000 employees in Norway and abroad are engaged onshore and offshore. With eight locations in Norway, the company is located near the customers. In addition to operations in Norway, Aibel is also located in Thailand, Singapore and Denmark.
