StatoilHydro ASA awards the Gudrun Topside FEED contract to Aibel AS

Stavanger, 26 March 2009

Aibel AS is awarded the StatoilHydro FEED contract for the Gudrun topsides development. The scope includes, in addition to the topside, living quarters, jacket interface and Sigrun interface.

The Gudrun platform, which is planned located approximately 55 km north of the Sleipner A platform, is being developed to cater to the whole Gudrun area, meaning that the design of the topside needs to take into account future developments of the field and therefore allow for, amongst other, additional deck space.

The value of the contract is approximately 60 MNOK.

The work starts immediately and will be managed from Aibel's facilities in Oslo.

“We are pleased to be awarded this contract by StatoilHydro”, says Jan Skogseth, President & CEO of Aibel AS. “We have long and proven experience in designing and delivering platforms on the Norwegian continental shelf, and we view this contract as recognition of our experience and competences, as well as it strengthens Aibel's position for this type of projects in the future.”
