    StatoilHydro has awarded Aibel AS the study contract for conceptual development of the Troll A 3rd & 4th compressor trains. The compressor solutions, including future power supply, shall allow for future development of the Troll field. The scope of work comprises evaluations of capacities and necessary platform modifications, in addition to future compressor reconfigurations.

  • Aibel AS awarded contract by StatoilHydro for mechanical works at Kårstø

    StatoilHydro has on behalf of Gassco awarded the fabrication and installation contract for Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Metering Upgrade & Double Inlet Crossover System (DIXO) project at Kårstø, Norway, to Aibel AS. The scope includes project management, fabrication and installation work.

  • Hamworthy acquires Business Unit Technology & Products from Aibel

    Hamworthy PLC has signed an agreement to acquire Business Unit Technology & Products from Aibel. The cash consideration for the acquisition will be 37 MNOK payable upon completion with an additional amount of up to 28 MNOK payable upon achievement of certain performance criteria over the next two years.

  • Greater Stavanger gets a street magazine – Aibel is amongst the sponsors!

    Stavanger and Sandnes are getting their own street magazine. The magazine, which is to be known by the title of ASFALT, is owned and managed by the Gatemagasinet Foundation in Rogaland. The first issue will be sold on the streets in April.

  • Aibel AS adapts to changed market conditions

    Adapting to changed market conditions, securing profitability and maintaining competitiveness, Aibel AS has, with support from the joint consultative committee, decided to implement cost reductions. The reductions include about 4 % downsizing of the total workforce in Norway, equivalent 150 headcount. In addition, the total number of consultants will be reduced.

    StatoilHydro has awarded an EPCI contract to upgrade the mud system on the Oseberg C platform to Aibel AS. The scope includes project management, engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation work, both on- and offshore.

  • Aibel receives NOK 600 million of new equity and resolves criminal charges

    Following a court proceeding for Aibel Group Ltd. on November 21st in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Aibel Group Ltd. has received a capital injection of NOK 600 million from its owners. Aibel has been restructured into two separate entities, Aibel AS and Aibel Group Ltd., with separate management teams and board of directors.

  • Colleen Henneke appointed President of DCI

    Former acting President Colleen Henneke, has been appointed the new permanent President and General Manager of Drilling Controls, Inc (DCI), a subsidiary of Aibel Group Limited, effective 1st November. In this capacity, Colleen will continue to report directly to Aibel Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gary M. Wilson and will continue as a member of the Executive Management Team.

  • Aibel AS and Odfjell Drilling Technology AS sign a cooperation agreement for drilling upgrade projects

    Aibel AS and Odfjell Drilling Technology AS (ODT) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement that will enable the two companies to submit joint tenders for large scale EPCI* drilling upgrade projects in Norway. The move provides the Norwegian market with a substantial player with the expertise, ability and credentials required to execute major projects of this kind.
