    Aibel wins new Gudrun contract

    In the autumn of 2018, Aibel was awarded the FEED contract (Front End Engineering Design) for Gudrun Phase 2 Water Injection. Today, the contract with Equinor has been extended to also include the actual implementation (EPCI). The contract has an estimated value of NOK 600 million.

    Startup of work on the P2 platform in Haugesund

    The first steel for the two last modules in the P2 project has now been cut, and so the work on the platform is at full speed ahead in both Thailand and Haugesund.

    Aibel/Keppel FELS consortium wins major DolWin5 contract

    The grid operator TenneT has awarded a major contract to an Aibel/Keppel FELS consortium for the supply of the HVDC platform and onshore converter station of the offshore grid connection project DolWin5. ABB will supply the complete HVDC electrical power system.

    Cut of first steel in the P2 project

    In keeping with the Thai tradition, and now also in good Aibel tradition, Thai monks blessed the cutting of the first steel in a solemn ceremony on Friday 8 March. The ceremony marks an important milestone in Aibel's largest project ever.

    Aibel to build new Sverdrup plant

    Equinor has awarded Aibel the contract to build phase 2 of the onshore power plant at Haugsneset east of Kårstø. The phase 2 development will contribute to secure the power supply from land to the further development of Johan Sverdrup, and also contribute to establishing the area solution for power from shore to the remaining fields on the Utsira formation (Edvard Grieg, Ivar Aasen and Gina Krog).
