The platform deck, which is built by SMOE in Singapore, arrived to the field in July 2016. Aibel's main job started in August, following the lifting campaign.

Aibel is responsible for all hook-up activities. The contract comprises management, administration, engineering, prefabrication and installation work.

The project, which engages up to 400 employees, is carried out in close collaboration with operator Aker BP and Norisol, which is responsible for all ISO work. Following a hectic autumn, the first oil was produced on the platform on 24 December 2016.

Aker BP and Aibel have also signed an agreement for maintenance, modifications and operational support on Ivar Aasen.
