Compensation Specialist

We are looking for a driven and experienced Compensation Specialist to strengthen our Compensation & Benefits department in Aibel. This is a new and exciting position in our HR team.

About the position
As a Compensation Specialist you will be a part of Corporate HR in Aibel, and the position supports HR Business Partnering and management in compensation questions and analysis.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Prepare, participate and support yearly salary processes; execution of the annual salary review, and promotions
  • Prepare and participate in external benchmarking
  • Follow up and research trends and best practices within compensation
  • Support HR and Line Managers on inquiries regarding compensation
  • Participate and support preparation of compensation analysis
  • Collaborate with HR Management and HR Business Partners to determine needs, policies, and procedures
  • Support job evaluations, job analyses, and participating in salary settlements in collaboration with HR Business Partners

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in HR, business, finance or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compensation related field
  • Proven data driven approach to addressing and resolving compensation issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools for organizing and analyzing salary data
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems, preferably SAP, to manage employee master data and compensation structures
  • Understanding of job evaluation techniques and compensation benchmarking to maintain market competitiveness

Personal qualities

  • Excellent communication skills to convey compensation information to stakeholders and negotiate effectively
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is an advantage
  • Systematic and accurate, attention to details
  • Analytical
