Deputy Section Manager, Piping and Layout (Engineering & Design)

Job responsibilities:

  • Establish strategies, plans, and activities that support company objectives within the Piping & Layout discipline
  • Ensure the delivery of required engineering resources and services to all relevant projects and tenders
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and competence development for team members within the section
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets related to the section’s activities
  • Oversee the suitability, updating, and implementation of engineering methods, tools, and work processes across all projects
  • Coordinate with process owners to ensure proper verification and continuous improvement of engineering practices
  • Monitor and develop the technical competency of section personnel to ensure compliance with internal procedures, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications
  • Ensure consistent application of accepted engineering and design practices throughout the team
  • Serve as Lead Engineer on assigned projects when required

Work experience requirements:

  • Minimum 20 years’ experience in Oil & Gas projects (offshore and onshore), working as a Lead Piping Engineer, Lead Design Engineer, or Engineering Specialist with reputable engineering contractors.
  • Preferably at least 5 years’ experience in offshore fixed platforms or FPSOs.
  • Experience in Concept Studies, Feasibility Studies, FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Field Engineering across Brownfield, Greenfield, or Revamp projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.\
  • Strong technical communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with design teams, clients, authorities, and verification bodies
  • Must be proficient in AVEVA E3D software.

  • Comfortable working in an international environment and adapting communication style to diverse audiences
  • Strong command of English, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively in both written and spoken form
