We are looking for Engineers to strengthen our Marine Engineering & Marine Operations Department in Asker. As a Marine Engineer at Aibel, you will work on designing marine structures and performing hydrodynamic analyses. You will also coordinate with subcontractors and follow up on marine operations at construction sites and offshore.
About the position
You will engage in designing and analyzing marine systems. You will also manage interactions with subcontractors for transportation and installation tasks. Additionally, you will oversee marine operations both on-site and offshore.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Marine Design engineering in EPC project and studies
- Perform hydrodynamic and mooring analyses, typically frequency-domain, time-domain, motions, wind, etc.
- Perform conceptual and detail design of temporary steel for marine operations, i.e. grillage & sea-fastening, lift points, guides & bumpers etc.
- Interface coordination with subcontractors for marine transportation and installation
- Follow up marine operations at construction site and offshore
- Participate in tenders
Qualifications
- Higher technical education (BSc / MsC)
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience within Marine Engineering
- Graduates will be evaluated
