Estimator - Commercial

Job responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing tender documents and help prepare templates for technical and commercial clarifications, under guidance from the Estimating team.
  • Support the Estimating function by co‑ordinating inputs from Engineering, Construction and Supply Chain Management (SCM) teams for preparation of cost estimates.
  • Assist in liaising with the Finance department to obtain information related to taxes, exchange rates, and hedging assumptions, as directed by the Lead Estimator.
  • Help prepare organization charts, manpower plans and cash flow curves using standard templates and tools.
  • Support the review of contract documents and assist in coordinating with the Legal department to compile contractual comments and qualifications for tenders.
  • Assist senior team members in identifying cost optimisation opportunities and maintaining cost databases and benchmarking information.
  • Prepare draft cost estimates, pricing schedules and commercial documentation for review by the Lead Estimator and Senior Commercial Manager.
  • Ensure that all tender documentation is prepared in line with company policies, procedures and client requirements, under supervision.
  • Attend internal pre‑tender and post‑tender meetings to support documentation, take notes, and track action items.
  • Assist in preparing responses to post‑tender clarifications from the client.
  • Support the handover of tender information to the project execution team upon award of contract.
  • Assist the Project Lead Cost Controller by providing estimating inputs and documentation for Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates, when required.
  • Co‑ordinate and maintain tender documentation, registers, and administrative records throughout the tender process.
  • Perform other ad‑hoc tasks related to tendering and commercial activities as assigned by the Estimating or Commercial Management team.

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics / Commerce / Engineering
