We are looking for experienced engineers to strengthen our Automation and OT Cybersecurity department in Asker. As an automation engineer, you will contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. Our portfolio covers manned and unmanned Oil and Gas topsides, High Voltage substations (HVAC or HVDC), electrification and other industry projects.
About the position
Automation Engineers in Aibel design and specify automation systems solutions and strategies for projects in concept, study and detail phases. You will develop automation philosophies & strategies to the required level, as well as development of automation system design documentation to ensure a safe design according to client and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities and tasks include
Depending on work experience and project, typical tasks will be:
- Automation system design, including philosophies, topologies, I/O budget/lists, SCDs, etc
- Follow-up of IACS supplier wrt deliverables, quality and schedule
- Arrange and lead internal meetings, client meetings, workshops and reviews
- Interface with other disciplines, construction, MC, commissioning, operation, other contractors and suppliers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree
- Minimum 8 years’ experience from automation engineering in green field projects
- Minimum 4 years’ experience from SAS/IACS system design activities,
- Experience with development of philosophies, topologies and follow-up for SAS package
- Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNV and IEC
