Graduate engineers - HVAC

We are now looking for newly graduated HVAC engineers (0-2 years of experience) who can contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition.

Responsibility and tasks:

As a graduate engineer in the HVAC department, you will be involved in our offshore wind and oil & gas projects. We will use your skills and talent from the start-up of your career. The right candidate will have a steep learning curve and gradually develop a wide understanding of our enterprise

The main responsibility in this job will be design of HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) systems for offshore and onshore facilities, both new facilities and modification of existing facilities.

You will have the opportunity to work with:

  • System design philosophy/design basis for HVAC systems with respect to functional requirements, control philosophy, operation philosophy
  • Evaluation of natural/mechanical ventilation
  • Selection of HVAC equipment with regard to capacity and suitability
  • Cooperation with HVAC equipment vendors
  • Calculations of air flow rate based on ventilation requirement and heat emission in rooms
  • HVAC utility requirements
  • Input to MEL (Master Equipment List)
  • Input for production of schematic drawings on CAD
  • Design of HVAC system in the 3D model, comprising locating equipment and duct routing
  • Ensure coordination towards other disciplines

Education and qualifications:

  • Newly qualified Master or Bachelor with up to 2 years working experience in HVAC
  • Relevant experience during summer jobs is desirable
