Principal Engineer - IT Tools

We are looking for a E3D support & software developer to strengthen our Engineering IT Tools department in Oslo. As a E3D support & software developer you will support the Structural and Architect design teams.

About the position
Working as an E3D admin you will support the design teams in structural and architect. The tasks will vary from project setup to maintaining the library for the structural and architect disciplines. You will be a contact person for all ongoing projects with issues related to Cats & Specs, or any of the programs that the disciplines use in E3D.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Project setup - Setup of Cats & Specs, and update programs based on project’s needs
  • Maintain Structural/Architect library (profiles, joints, bolts ++)
  • Maintain and update existing programs to support Structural/Architect design teams
  • Develop new programs for Structural & Architect

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years working experience from engineering in EPC wind or oil & gas conracts
  • Bachelor's or master's degree
  • Experience from Programmable Macro Language (PML/PML2), or other programming languages such as C# or similar
  • Knowledge of CAD software: Aveva PDMS/E3D, Tekla Structures, Navisworks, AutoCad
