Principal Engineer – Mechanical (Piping Stress)

Role Overview – Principal Engineer (Piping Stress)
We are seeking a Principal Engineer (Piping Stress) responsible for performing piping stress analysis, preparing stress isometric deliverables, and coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams. The role ensures timely, high‑quality work aligned with project schedules, adherence to change processes, and proactive communication with team members. Candidates must have strong knowledge of PDMS/E3D, CAESAR II, international standards (ASME, API, NORSOK), and extensive experience in Oil & Gas or related industries.
Job responsibilities:
- Perform piping stress analysis by using adequate software.
- Perform stress isometric output and pipe stress analysis report.
- Inter-act with other disciplines.
- Participate in the internal design review if required.
- Ensure that own work is performed according to project schedules and that information is exchanged according to agreed dates allowing time for quality control.
- Proactively seek information and/or clarification needed from other roles to enable continuation and completion of own work.
- Ensure quality and self-check of own work performed.
- Ensure that changed to own work is handles according to Change process.
- Reporting of status/progress for own work to team lead on a regular basis.
- Be familiar with PDMS handbooks and Project pipe stress philosophy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Min 15 years of experiences emphasis on pipe stress analysis for onshore/offshore of Oil &Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant fields.
- Competence on MS office, AutoCAD/MicroStation, PDMS/E3D, CAESAR II, STADD.Pro or manual calculations.
- Good command in English skill.
- Possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
- Having experience in Norwegian projects and applicant’s experience to the relevant standards, NCS and UKCS sectors preferred.
- International Code and Standard such as ASME, API, NORSOK, NEMA and other which related to Mechanical and piping works.
- The minimum certificate of Associate Mechanical Engineer is required.
- Preferably eligible to work in Thailand.
