Principal Engineer - Structural Analysis

We are looking for Principal Engineer - Structural Analysis to strengthen our department in Stavanger. As a Principal Engineer - Structural Analysis you will play a key role to the delivery of high–quality engineering solutions for our projects and studies.

You will work closely with experienced colleagues across disciplines, gain exposure to a variety of project phases, and have the opportunity to strengthen your expertise while supporting the development of junior personnel. Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Perform structural analyses/calculations
  • Prepare calculation reports
  • Conduct discipline checks of calculation reports
  • Work on studies, execution projects, and maintenance projects
  • Continuously communicate with relevant personnel/disciplines to carry out assigned work
  • Contribute to training of junior personnel

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in offshore structures
  • Strong experience with analysis og mail steel
  • Proven experience in global analysis for offshore installations
  • Good understanding of both structural design and structural analysis
  • Good knowledge of using analysis systems such as STAAD.Pro and Sesam Genie, Abaqus and MathCAD
  • Good knowledge of relevant NORSOK, Eurocode, and DNV standards
  • Familiarity with 3D visualization tools
