Principal structural engineer Jacket

We are looking for a structural engineers for a position in the Jacket Designe group to strengthen our Concepts and studies department in Oslo. As a structural engineer you will be building up and optimizing jacket concepts and performing various types of structural analyses necessary to perform studies, FEEDs and detail design of various jacket concepts.
About the position
You will execute jacket studies, FEED projects, full detail jacket engineering projects including local design together with a jacket design and drafting team. You will be required to document and communicate the results both at final delivery through technical reporting, but also at regularly basis with the other team members and project manager. Knowing Aibel’s business is not a prerequisite. However, you will be expected to acquire understanding of our company so that you can align the execution method with for jacket projects with our overall project execution philosophy.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Develop jacket concepts
- Optimizing existing concepts, maturing them to pass the next decision gate
- Performe analyses within ship impact, fatigue and seismic
- Creating high quality reports
- Read up and stay up to date on all relevant design codes in different geographical areas
Qualifications
- Master`s degree or equivalent within structural engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Preferably experience within one or more of Oil and Gas, or Offshore Wind projects
- Experienced with Jacket analysis and design, construction and project execution
- Good English skills, both oral and writing

- Multidiciplin understanding
- Proactiv, informativ and capable of untraditinal conceptual thinking and challenging established truths
- High level of personal effiviency and anle to priorities necessary documentation to close tasks.
- Enjoy collaborating with groups and working in teams
