Project Manager for Studies

We are looking for Project Manager for Studies to strengthen our front-end department Concept and Studies in Oslo, Bergen, Haugesund, and Stavanger. As a Project Manager (Study Manager), you will be responsible for the management and leadership of studies in different phases, including feasibility, concept or definition studies, and tenders.
About the position
This management role requires both technical understanding and a multidisciplinary mindset, supported by an understanding of the market mechanisms and the potential commercial impacts of selected solutions. The work may be within any Aibel business units, including offshore wind, onshore and offshore oil and gas, hydrogen, aquaculture, and potentially other new business areas. Knowing Aibel’s business is not essential, but you will be expected to acquire an understanding of our company so that you can align the opportunities with Aibel’s strengths, delivery models and strategic focus.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Lead early phase multidiscipline studies and tenders
- Support Business Development in pursuits
- Develop and keep up to date in methods for creative management and how to work with creativity in a systematic way
- Contribute to the development of and be up to date on Aibel’s execution methods, including the development of more efficient execution methods and improvement
- Be responsible for the technical evaluation of concepts and technologies in studies and/or Business development initiatives
Qualifications
- Higher technical education (BSc, MSc)
- Preferably experience within renewable energies, including offshore wind and oil&gas
- Experience from other industry segments will be taken into consideration
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Multidiscipline understanding
- Job leader experience and competence
Personal qualities
- Self-driven individuals with leadership capabilities and broad technical interest, with motivation to challenge established solutions and develop new designs
- Interest in both technical and commercial aspects of the project
- Enjoy collaborating in expert groups with multidisciplinary understanding
- The capability of untraditional conceptual thinking and challenging established truth
- Value participation in creative processes
