As a Senior Buyer, you will take a leading role in procurement activities, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective sourcing in line with project and company requirements. In this role, you will be involved in end‑to‑end procurement processes, commercial evaluations, supplier negotiations, and close collaboration with project teams and internal stakeholders.

About the position

The Senior Buyer is responsible for executing and leading procurement packages in accordance with Aibel’s procurement processes and project requirements. The role contributes to successful project execution by developing package strategies, conducting commercial evaluations, managing supplier communication, and ensuring cost and schedule control. You will work closely with engineering, project, logistics, and quality disciplines, acting as a single point of contact for assigned procurement packages. The position also involves reporting on cost, progress, and risks, while driving continuous improvement, productivity, and compliance with HSE, quality, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement related to materials or products within Oil & Gas or energy projects
  • Strong experience in commercial evaluation, cost saving, cost reduction, and supplier negotiation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP MM module
  • Good command of English in speaking, reading, and writing (minimum TOEIC score 600)
