Senior Electrical Engineer

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for executing electrical design and producing essential layout drawings for major projects. In this role, you will be involved in coordinating electrical design on both a discipline-specific and multi-discipline level, ensuring all work meets rigorous international and project standards.
About the position
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing electrical designs and creating job packages for the operators in field. Some typical tasks will be.
- Estimation
- Updating of existing, and making new drawings within the electrical discipline
- Calculations in programs like FebDok and Tracecalc
- Making technical requisitions for bulk materials and main equipment (MTO/MEL)
- Cable routing
- Creating job packages
- Study- work
- Single Line Diagram
- Participate in Reviews, hence System Review/Design Review etc.
- Follow up sub- suppliers
Collaboration is key, as you will interact with other disciplines to exchange information and ensure work is performed according to project schedules and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with engineering resources in Norway. The role also involves supervising personnel, providing technical guidance, and maintaining a focus on HSE and quality performance throughout the design follow-up and as-built phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering
- A trade certificate and/or previous experience as an electrician is an advantage
- Minimum of 8 years of experience within Onshore/Offshore Oil & Gas industry
- Deep understanding of international Codes and Standards, including IEC, IEEE. Knowledge about NORSOK is an advantage
- Practical understanding within electrical discipline
- Experience working with brownfield projects is an advantage
- Experience working with Equinor`s facilities is an advantage
- Competence in E3D, MicroStation and Navisworks
- Good command in English, both speaking and writing is essential due to multinational collaboration.
