Senior Engineer Electrical - Offshore Wind
Due to a growing market within renewable energy / offshore wind, Aibel see the need to further strengthen and increase manpower in the offshore wind department in Haugesund. This department is part of the business unit Field Development and Offshore Wind and counts today 55 engineers in Haugesund. We need to increase the staff in several disciplines due to many ongoing and future projects within high voltage substations (HVDC or HVAC), offshore wind parks and electrification projects.
We are now looking for a skilled and experienced electrical engineer who can contribute in Aibel’s exciting future within renewable energy / offshore wind
Your responsibilities will be:
We are looking for skilled electrical Engineers for design and engineering of auxiliary electrical system for offshore wind HVDC platforms with following knowledge and experience:
- Discipline lead and/or discipline engineer in large projects.
- System design including philosophies and calculations.
- Design of main switchboards, sub distribution and UPS system.
- Design of single line drawings, block diagrams, layouts, cable schedule and load list.
- Short circuit calculations / protection and discrimination coordination study
- Electrical load study and load flow calculations
- Lighting calculations
- Heat trace design and calculations.
- Small power design including lighting and socket layouts.
- Earthing and lightning design.
- EMC and Ex design.
- Review vendor documentation
- Installation details and standards.
- Interface with other disciplines.
- Implement information to Aibel’s Engineering Information System (EIS/Aveva) and document system (ProArc)
- Experience with FebDok
Qualifications:
- Master or bachelor degree – Electrical
- Experience from electrical engineering in large modification projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf
- Experience and knowledge of electrical design according to relevant standard such as DNV, NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, IEC and VDE
- Min 5 year work experience within electrical
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply

- Knowledge of Norwegian language can ba an advantage
