Senior Engineer - EU Directives Coordinator

We are now looking for an EU Directives Coordinator to strengthen our current project teams in Oslo. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with regulatory knowledge of European Directives to ensure safe and compliant project execution.
About the position
At Aibel, ensuring regulatory compliance with EU product safety directives (primarily PED, ATEX, Machinery, LVD and EMC directives) is crucial to protect health, safety, the environment, and data. As a compliance Engineer, you will ensure our projects meet all relevant regulations, minimizing legal risks and operational disruptions. Your role is vital in maintaining our reputation and operational integrity by ensuring compliance through full certification reviews and conducting verification audits.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Develop overview of purchase orders with expected applicable directives listed
- Include assessment of equipment which may be categorised as an ‘assembly’ or systems
- Identify specific EU certification required
- Review submitted EU certification for correctness and completeness
- Provide support and clarifications to package teams and suppliers as necessary
- Action queries internally and externally with Clients and suppliers
- Develop verification documents which demonstrates and proves full compliance e.g. Ignition Source Mapping reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent specific experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience from EPC green field projects
