As a Senior Offshore Structural Engineer, you will perform structural analysis and design for offshore and onshore facilities, contributing to safe, efficient, and compliant engineering solutions. In this role, you will be involved in structural design calculations, engineering deliverables, 3D model coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration across all project phases.
About the position
The Senior Offshore Structural Engineer is responsible for performing structural analysis and design calculations for FPSO and offshore fixed platform structures, including topside and jacket structures, primarily using SACS software (experience with GeniE is considered an advantage). The role involves preparing structural calculation reports, Material Take Offs (MTOs), and other related engineering deliverables, as well as providing engineering inputs for 3D modeling, structural drawings, and vendor document reviews.
You will ensure all structural deliverables comply with project requirements, international standards (API, DNV, NORSOK), and client specifications. The position requires close coordination with other engineering disciplines to ensure technical alignment and integration throughout the project lifecycle. You will support and report to the Lead Structural Engineer on assigned projects and the Structural Engineering Manager at the discipline level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–15 years of experience in structural design for offshore and/or onshore oil & gas or heavy industry projects.
- Strong experience in structural analysis and design of offshore structures, including FPSO topside modules and fixed platforms, using SACS (experience with GeniE is an advantage).
- Proven involvement in upstream oil & gas projects across FEED, basic engineering, and detailed design phases, covering both greenfield and brownfield developments.
- Ability to provide clear and effective engineering input for 3D modeling and structural drawing detailing.
- Strong background in structural mechanics and structural behavior of offshore structures.
- Self motivated professional capable of working with minimal supervision, making sound engineering decisions, analyzing complex problems, and delivering focused technical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
- English Effective in written and verbal communication skills to write project reports and present technical issues to the design team and external parties
- Preferably eligible to work in Thailand.

You communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and collaborate well with multidisciplinary teams across all organizational levels. You are proactive, reliable, and professional in your work approach, with the ability to build strong working relationships and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Flexibility to support short‑term assignments at client or company offices, and eligibility to work in Thailand, are preferred.
