Senior / Project Engineer

Job Description:

  • Ensure that all deliverables are completed on time, in accordance with the project schedules
  • Ensure that the work is done to the specified quality
  • Ensure HSE activities within area of responsibility are carried out
  • Give input to overall Basis for Design
  • Organisation of multidiscipline system/area design reviews
  • Participate in HAZOP's and other external reviews
  • Define and request required resources and establish design teams
  • Co-ordination of resources between Multidiscipline Design Groups and other parts of the Engineering Organisation
  • Define and communicate need for IS/ IT systems and support
  • Responsible for interface with other organisational units
  • Ensure that vendor information required to progress the work are identified and communicated
  • Implement project strategies and philosophies
  • Make contract, specifications, project requirements, challenges and success criteria known
  • Review and report overall changes and deviations to design basis (budget)
  • Report technical status and progress for overall area scope of work
  • Implementation of contract requirements
  • Status reporting within area of responsibility
  • Maintain a positive and safe working environment at work location
  • Comply without fail with the company code of conduct and ensure ethical behavior at all times. Unethical behavior shall not be tolerated
  • Report to Project/Engineering Manager on work progress and actual or envisaged critical activities, which might have an effect on overall project execution.
  • Define, budget, schedule, execute and co-ordinate all activities within areas of responsibility

Job Requirement:

  • 5 to 9 years’ experience in oil, gas or petrochemical (OGP) industry
  • Strong industry knowledge in an MNC work environment would be an advantage
  • Degree in Engineering
  • Good knowledge of international regulations, codes and standards
  • Well versed in the standard engineering tools used in the OGP industry
  • Good oral and written communication skills
