We are looking for Senior Engineers who can strengthen our Telecom department in Oslo. You will contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. Our portfolio covers manned and unmanned operated Oil and Gas topsides, High Voltage substations (HVAC or HVDC), Electrification projects and hydrogen facilities.
About the position
Aibel's Telecom Engineers specify telecom systems and develop strategy for engineering projects in concept, study and detail phases.
Scope of work
- Development of telecom strategy, philosophy, and design solutions for telecom systems, including communication network, remote operations, maintenance, monitoring, and new technologies
- Follow up telecom packages (PRE), vendors and vendors technical documentation
- Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations and client
- Develop and complete engineering documents and data registers
- Participate in relevant test activities and contribute to improve and mature working methods
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Technical College combined with minimum 8 years’ relevant background
- Minimum 6 years' experience from relevant design activities
- Experience and knowledge of telecom system design, according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNV and IEC

- Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English - Both orally and in writing
- A natural team player, but possess the ability to work independently
- Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
- You are proactive, you have a willingness to learn, you seek advice and share own experiences with others
- Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions through digital tools
