In recent years, Aibel has had a small team of employees working out of a satellite office in Stjørdal, primarily supporting ongoing projects within the Maintenance & Modifications portfolio. Lately, the number of employees in Stjørdal has steadily increased, and now Aibel has decided to strengthen its presence in Mid-Norway further.
“It is strategically important for us with proximity to our client and the projects we are working on. Thus, historically Mid-Norway, and Stjørdal in particular, has been central for Aibel, and now we see that the time is right to strengthen the team further and make the company more visible in this part of the country,” says EVP Maintenance & Modifications in Aibel, Marianne S. Davenport.
The team in Stjørdal works on several projects in Aibel’s M&M contract with Equinor, mainly towards the Kristin facility, but also Heidrun and supporting projects run by the Aibel Harstad office.
New office with room for expansion
As a part of Aibel’s initiative in Mid-Norway, the employees in Stjørdal are now moving into new office facilities with room for the planned expansion of the team, something that Facility Manager in Stjørdal, Bjarne Kristoffersen, is looking forward to.
“This has been a steady process, and we have now reached the point where more space is a prerequisite for the planned growth and our ambitions for the future,” he says.
At the moment, Aibel has 16 employees based in Stjørdal, but the company has recently completed an application round, so soon new colleagues will fill more of the new office space.
“This is a unique opportunity for taking part in shaping the future of Aibel in Mid-Norway. We are still a small but highly skilled team characterised by a great working environment with focus on well-being, teamwork and personal development and a culture where we support each other in solving challenges,” says Kristoffersen.
Further vacant positions for Stjørdal are expected to be posted on our career pages around summer.
