“At exactly 9.19am Modec's Jeff Knox activated a plate cutting machine that cut the first steel plate in the project. This ceremony was followed by guest speeches,” he says.
The contract for the topside procurement and fabrication of the Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme (TEN) project with Modec was signed in February. Aibel Thailand is delivering seven modules with a weight of 9,400 tons to the FPSO.
“We are pleased to continue our good relationship with MODEC. Aibel has also successfully delivered modules in the projects Tupi, Guara and OSX3,” Ryan explains.
The modules will be transported from Aibel’s yard in Laem Chabang to Singapore where they will be integrated on a FPSO. The end client is Tullow Ghana Ltd. The FPSO will operate in deep waters off Ghana, West Africa.
