Work starts immediately and will continue until the second half of 2018. During this time Aibel will build and deliver several subsea structural elements, including a subsea manifold. At its most, the project will involve up to 50 employees at the Haugesund yard.

“This contract cements our position as supplier to the subsea market. Along with several other ongoing projects, it will ensure plenty of work at the yard in the time ahead. We're looking forward to starting work,” says EVP Modifications and Yard Services, Bjørn Tollefsen.

In the summer of 2016 Aibel entered into a four-year agreement with TechnipFMC for fabrication services. Today's award is a call-off on this contract and will be delivered in connection with Technip FMC's involvement in the i Oda project. Centrica is the end-client and operator for the Oda development project in the Norwegian North Sea. The oil field has planned production start-up in 2019.
