Delivering high quality throughout the entire project life cycle
Aibel’s operations in Thailand date back to 1999, and today, Aibel operates two yards in Map Ta Phut and Laem Chabang. These yards give Aibel an important competitive advantage, as Aibel Thailand has repeatedly shown that it can deliver high quality modules at competitive prices.
Over the years, the yards in Thailand have specialized in the supply of modules for FPSOs, platforms and onshore facilities. They are also the only yards in Thailand supplying topsides for use on the Norwegian continental shelf.
Furthermore, in recent years, the yards have played a central role for Aibel’s offshore wind portfolio. Aibel’s yards in Thailand have delivered multiple large converter platforms for the Dogger Bank Wind Farm and Hornsea 3 projects — some of the world’s largest offshore wind developments located in UK sector.
Prefabrication for projects in Thailand takes place at Deeline, which is partly owned by Aibel. Deeline specializes in the delivery of steel structures and piping fabrication and has been Aibel’s trusted partner for more than 15 years. Deeline’s fabrication area is located in Huaypong Rayong, within short distance to both yards.
