Greater Enfield (Ngujima-Yin FPSO)

In 2016, Aibel was awarded the E&P contract for modifications on the Ngujima-Yin FPSO.

The contract included both detailed marine and topside engineering and procurement services as well as engineering site support services.

The vessel had modifications done to the topsides, hull and turret, along with the installation of a new customized Water Flood module.

The project engaged up to 170 employees at the most, and was delivered 25 April 2019.

An FPSO is a floating, production, storage and offloading unit, often in the form of a converted tanker ship.

The FPSO is a part of the Greater Enfield project, with a field located 60 kilometers off Exmouth in Western Australia. The reserves in the area will be produced via a 31 kilometer subsea tie-back to Ngujima-Yin, located over the Vincent oil field.
