Unique delivery model

The contract for engineering, procurement and construction of the topside was awarded by Equinor in February 2015, and at that time, it was the largest contract in the history of Aibel.

Management, engineering and procurement were performed from Aibel’s Oslo office with support from the office in Thailand. The three modules that constitute the platform topside was built at Aibel’s yards in Thailand and Haugesund and by partner Nymo in Grimstad, Norway.

The three modules were assembled into one platform topside in a spectacular lifting operation in Klosterfjorden, Norway, in late summer 2017.

During the three and a half year project period, Aibel used approximately 6,000,000 man hours and delivered the topside on time and budget in May 2018.
