Principal Engineers - HVAC

We are looking for Senior/Principal HVAC System Engineers who will strengthen our wind and hydrogen projects in Oslo. You will work in different projects phases, including studies, FEEDs and project executions (EPC). Today, 50% of Aibel's order backlog is related to the green transition. About the position

As an experienced HVAC System Engineer at Aibel, you will collaborate with highly skilled multidisciplinary teams dedicated to delivering accurate technical solutions for our clients across various business segments. You'll ensure seamless coordination of HVAC with area design group and other disciplines. Including the opportunity to define system design philosophy and design basis for HVAC systems, develop control philosophy, and operation philosophy. Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Lead HVAC Discipline in projects and/or support projects with senior System competence
  • Analyzing the contract and relevant specifications and engaging in technical discussions with the client
  • Conducting air flow rate calculations based on ventilation requirements, transmission losses and heat emissions in rooms
  • Contributing to the production of schematic D&ID drawings on CAD
  • Selecting HVAC equipment in terms of capacity and suitability, collaborating with HVAC equipment vendors

Qualifications

  • Completed a bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years' HVAC system engineering experience from larger engineering projects
  • Experience from offshore greenfield projects is beneficial
  • Have good knowledge of engineering standards like NORSOK and ISO 15138
  • Proficient written and spoken English skills
