We are looking for Project Purchasers to strengthen our Supply Chain department in Bergen. As a Project Purchaser you will play an important part in follow-up of complex procurement packages and creating procurement strategies.

About the position

The Supply Chain team in Aibel is growing and we need new competent employees. With us, you will work with dedicated colleagues in multidisciplinary teams. You must be able to balance several tasks at det same time and thrive in a hectic work environment. The other members on your team have great confidence in you, and know you are dedicated to keeping yourself informed on status and progress. You are commercially aware and can act flexible with an openness to change.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Issue inquiry documents for larger equipment and services in close cooperation with engineering
  • Commercial evaluation of quotations and issue orders and contracts
  • Follow-up of complex procurement packages, to secure the right timeframe, cost, and quality
  • Professional variation handling
  • Handling of risks, deviations, Liquidated Damages, and invoices in a timely manner
  • Budget, cost and progress establishing, follow up and reporting
  • Secure that all work is executed in accordance with Abel’s guidelines, work instructions and procedures
  • It is considered a natural part of the job to constantly work on improvements, to reduce internal and external risks and costs, and to ensure best possible cooperations with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, mainly within subjects as: Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering and similar
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience, preferably within supply chain management or contract management
  • The right attitude and high commitment may compensate for lack of formal education and relevant work experience

Personal qualities

  • You have good oral and written communication skills, both in Norwegian and English
  • You are both professional, and an independent team-player
  • You engage with others in a positive manner and have a high degree of collaboration skills
  • You can take on the role as team leader for a small team
  • Your work is performed structured and efficient, and always in accordance with applicable directions
  • You may have some SAP experience
  • A high degree of data discipline is preferred
