Senior Engineer – Automation

Automation in Haugesund is looking to strengthen the team with a new Senior/Principal Automation Engineer. You will play an important part in designing, implementing, and optimizing automation solutions for industrial projects.

About the position
As an Automation Pioneer at Aibel, you will be responsible for system design and integration in the Safety and Automation systems, and follow-up suppliers’ packages and other automation systems in the energy market. Your daily tasks includes SAS system design and preparation of discipline documentation such as SCDs, C&E and Indexes. In addition to responsibilities as system design, interface and follow up automation network on energy related facilities. We are looking for a Pioneer with a collaborative spirit and great desire to develop and learn in the organization, and hope you will join the energy transition journey.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Responsible for SAS system design and integration
  • Participate in fire and gas safety review.
  • System design of process, utility, and electrical systems (interface, FS, SCD and HMI input)
  • Follow-up system design for equipment packages and electrical automation system
  • Designing solutions according to our client's requirements
  • Follow up vendors and vendor technical documentation; participate in test activities/FAT.
  • Ensure that vendor and engineering information required for progress of the work is identified and communicated to the project.
  • Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, and client
  • Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers

Qualifications

  • Master or bachelor degree within automation or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience from automation engineering in projects to be located on the Norwegian Continental Shelf

  • Ability to work independently as well as in team and is systematic and accurate
  • Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements.
