Department for Instrumentation in Oslo is looking to strengthen the team with new Senior Cable & Routing Instrumentation Engineers. Our portfolio covers manned and unmanned operated Oil & Gas topsides, High Voltage substations, Electrification projects and hydrogen facilities. About the position

As a Senior Engineer specializing in Cable & Routing Instrumentation, your key responsibilities include evaluating cable types, optimizing signal grouping, and utilizing digital tools for cable routing design. Collaborating with other disciplines and ensuring seamless integration within engineering projects are essential aspects of this role. Join us in shaping the future of energy!

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Develop cable MTO and schedule
  • IS calculation
  • Perform cable termination and generation of Loops Loop
  • Perform cable routing in project database - Cabsys (EIS)
  • Interface to other disciplines, construction, suppliers and client

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical experience with cable routing
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience from engineering in projects, preferably combined with relevant Norwegian Continental Shelf experience, Offshore Wind or Hydrogen related projects
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of cable design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, DNV, ATEX, ISO and IEC
  • Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards
  • Proficient language skills in English
