Renewables Engineering in Haugesund is looking to strengthen the team with a new Senior/Principal HVAC System Engineer. You will be part of HVAC engineering in large projects and hold the position as discipline engineer or discipline lead. As an engineer in Aibel you will work in a multidiscipline environment, participating in studies, bids and FEED and/or detail engineering projects. About the position
As part of Aibel’s team, you will be responsible for system design philosophy and design basis for HVAC systems with respect to functional requirements, control philosophy and operation philosophy. You will perform selection of HVAC equipment with regard to capacity and suitability, collaborating with HVAC vendors.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Calculations of air flow rate based on ventilation requirement and heat emission in rooms
- Coordinate and follow up of the HVAC system design and the area design
- Calculation of HVAC utility requirements
- Contributing to the production of schematic D&ID drawings on CAD
- Ensure coordination of the HVAC design with other disciplines
Qualifications
- Master's or bachelor's degree, or relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience with HVAC engineering
- Experience with O&G projects on the Norwegian continental shelf or in the Offshore Wind sector is advantageous
- Proficient in written and spoken English, Norwegian skills is an advantage
