Renewables Engineering in Haugesund is looking to strengthen the team with a new Senior/Principal Instrumentation Engineer. You will be part of instrumentation engineering in large projects and hold the position as discipline engineer or discipline lead. As an engineer in Aibel you will work in a multidiscipline environment, participating in studies, bids and FEED and/or detail engineering projects. About the position

As part of Aibel’s team, you will guide the selection of instruments based on their application, and you’ll develop innovative instrumentation philosophies and solutions to meet project requirements. Your role as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) will encompass the management of instrument procurement packages. This includes diligent oversight of supplier deliveries and active participation in Inspection at Arrival (IAT) and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) activities.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Develop Technical Requisitions for procurement of instruments
  • Participate in multidiscipline design and review activities
  • Participate and arrange meetings, workshops and reviews for instrumentation discipline as required
  • Participate in developing/improving working methods through digital tools
  • Interface with other disciplines, contractors and client

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience from years with the technical qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with instrumentation engineering
  • Preferably experience with O&G projects on the Norwegian continental shelf or in the Offshore Wind sector
  • Knowledge of instrumentation design and configuration compliant with statutory requirements and relevant standards
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, Norwegian skills is an advantage
