The FEED contract also creates good opportunities for Aibel to win the project's EPC contract, which is scheduled to be awarded at the turn of 2019.

The main part of the FEED project was finished on 28 February 2019, and the assignment has engaged approx. 50 employees at Aibel’s office in Singapore.

The vessel will be operated by BW Offshore for Premier Oil at the Sea Lion field, off the Falkland Islands in the British part of the South Atlantic Ocean.

The modules for the FPSO will have a total weight of approx. 17,000 tons.

Primary purpose of a FEED is to provide a plan for implementation together with a cost assessment that makes it possible for the customer to make a final investment decision. It also provides the basis for EPC - engineering, procurement and construction.
