Aibel Thailand supplies modules and platforms to customers worldwide
Aibel Thailand is located in Laem Chabang, around an hour and a half's drive from Bangkok. The company has both engineering offices and a construction yard. The location of the yard in Laem Chabang was chosen because it is the largest and deepest harbour in Thailand.
The yard opened in 1999. It allows Aibel to supply high quality modules at competitive rates. Aibel Thailand has specialised in modules for production vessels (FPSO), platforms and onshore plants. It is the only yard in Thailand that also supplies topsides to the Norwegian continental shelf.
Aibel Thailand offers services such as construction management, planning, procurement, prefabrication, assembly, completion and integration/start up assistance. Through the Volve, Gudrun, Troll and Johan Sverdrup projects, the yard has demonstrated that it can supply modules that comply with stringent, Norwegian technical quality requirements.
Aibel has a major shareholding in the fabrication shop Deeline. The fabrication shop specialises in steel structure and piping fabrication. Deeline has been working together with Aibel for more than ten years.
