Newly graduated – Material Engineer

Aibel's skilled employees are located close to our customers at the company's eight offices in Norway and South East Asia. In addition, we operate two modern yards in Haugesund (Norway) and Laem Chabang (Thailand) with complete prefabrication and construction capabilities.

Your responsibilities:

Aibel will use your skills and talent from the start-up of your career. The right candidate will have a steep learning curve and gradually develop a wide understanding of our enterprise.
You will work as a material engineer in studies, FEED and/or detail projects with the following tasks:
  • Material selection  
  • Corrosion calculations and evaluations  
  • Erosion evaluations  
  • Surface treatment  
  • Insulation  
  • Participate in kick off meetings and BCMs for procurement packages  
  • Material follow up of suppliers with respect to e.g. welding, heat treatment, M650 requirements, painting etc.; travelling to suppliers must be expected  
  • Review Supplier fabrication procedures and reports  
  • Writing technical reports  
  • Cooperate towards other disciplines  
Education and work experience:
  • Newly qualified Master in Material Technology or up to 2 years working experience in Material Engineering
  • Relevant experience during summer jobs is desirable
